What Are Veneers?

After your initial consultation with Dr. Houenou, it only takes two visits to get your new smile. During your consultation, Dr. Houenou will ask you some questions about the type of results you want to achieve. He’ll go over your treatment options, and if you choose veneers, we can get the process started right away.
During the next visit, we’ll prepare your teeth for placement. This is when we remove a small amount of enamel from the tooth surface. You’ll be given the option to use a local anesthetic. Then we’ll then create an impression to send to our dental laboratory where your veneers are created. This usually takes about two to four weeks.
Once the veneers are ready, you’re ready to complete the final step in getting your perfect smile. Before we bond the veneer to the tooth, we’ll clean, polish, and etch your teeth to ensure smooth placement. Then a special dental adhesive will be applied to the veneer and it will be placed on the selected tooth.
